On my trip to work on this machine I replaced the fuser rollers and lubed the upper paper feed pulley bearings. On my second trip, which was to be unrelated to the prior misfeed problem, the customer told me that they had several misfeeds occur since the last visit. When I checked SP7502 I found that there had only been two misfeeds, but the customers was dead-set about there being more. Is it possible that they did have more misfeeds and the machine just didn't register that it did? I also checked SP7504/4 and it told me that there were only two misfeeds. However, when I checked SP7504/1, it read that the machine had 4 misfeeds. My only other question is, where is standby, and what is its cause? Thank you for any help given.

Make sure you reset the jam counter and get the customer to contact you again once it has jammed. I prefer to use SP5-990-004 for all my jamming issues. -
Re: Savin 2545 Misfeeding
Yes. print SP5990-004 on every service call. Check for sc codes, could be the machine was having an sc code and the customer thought it was a jam. Also check for ADF jams on the printout.Comment

Re: Savin 2545 Misfeeding
Check SP 7504-001 Jams at Power On. These are not shown in the jam history as they are not true jams. They are paper found at a sensor when the machine is turned on or when a door is closed. Faulty small push button door switches will cause these. If the machine has a finisher, then it is most likely the 2 switches for the Bridge Unit jam covers. Replace both switches and update the firmware.Comment
