Re: mp9002 slow printing
So, you print a duplex job uneven, 3 pages, the last page is also duplex or 1 sided?
A job with even pages, as you mentioned with 4 pages, the printing-speed does not slow (so much) down as with 3 pages...?
well, in print mode not all the pages are sent trough duplex paperpath (by default) when the last page is single sided printed, the printer will switch paperpath for the last page and waits for the last page to exit, before it starts printing the next set. In copy mode the engine sends all pages trough duplex paperpath, to keep the speed.
So, here you have the difference in copy-speed and printing speed.
Go to service mode ---> Print Sp --->bitswitch7 ---> change bit 0 to 1, (by hitting the zero on the keyboard and #)
Keep me posted!

Today I inspect the above situation and try to resolve this issue as describe above but issue not resolve I sent a job of 3 sets each set contains 3pages/set with stapling machine takes 35 seconds to finish that job then I try duplex to on by default from machine side and issue resolved. Same job of 3 sets containing 3pages/set with stapling finished in 18 seconds.
But this solution is not acceptable by client he wants to use duplex control by driver.
Kindly help me to resolve my issue.Comment

Re: mp9002 slow printing
Check your driver settings. Main thing too check is the resolution. The default is 600x600. If it has been changed to 1200x1200 it will take 4 time as long to print and unless they are printing extremely fine detail, they will not see any difference. Also check the vector/raster setting. Sometimes changing that will make a huge difference in spool time.Comment

So, i had to read this 3 times...:-) If i understand correctly, the issue is resolved by changing that Bitswitch..right? The speed increases from 35 seconds to 18 seconds right?
The client has still full control over the duplex in the driver, this means not that all jobs are sent trough the duplex paperpath, only uneven or mixed duplex jobs, witch is default in copy mode.
check explanation bitswitch 7 :

User tools--->printer---->system----> duplex: On
Now duplex is set to on for any job more than one page and that is not acceptable user wants duplex option control by driver setting.
By above setting every job more than one page becomes duplex.
User wants if he sent a job of two pages it will print on two pages not on one page in duplexComment

Re: mp9002 slow printing
Check the network speed for your NIC on the MFP!
Make sure it is 10/100/1000 full duplex instead of half duplex!
I have seen the half duplex setting put the print speed down to a crawl!
Good Luck!

Re: mp9002 slow printing
Have you tried a direct connection to the print controller e.g from a laptop on a fixed ip? It may be that a slow or damaged network connection is holding up the data flow to the engine which might be why copying and printing from the doc server is ok. Also, check the Advanced tab on the print driver properties and set it to "Start printing after last page is spooled" to see if this helps.Comment
