    customer said copy enlarged and everything black is white and white is black could not duplicate problem.had com error code and hdd error code. HDD OR BICU?

    Did they do an enlarge/negative image selection? Error codes may be random codes. Perform a bad-sector check and maybe reformat the HDD.

      I agree, check to make sure that they didn't do a reverse negative copy.. Other than that it would be the scanner/ccd board if there was to be a board that was in question...

        I wouldn't go spending money on boards till you find out what those codes
        are. Boards are rarely the answer and it does sound like someone was operating with their feet.

        Format the hard drive. Maybe reload firmware but buy a board as last resort.

          It can easily be a HD problem but that is also easliy checked, just disconnect. The machine will operate but with less functionality.

              The machine will pitch a fit about normal operation without the hard drive, but it will run in service mode without it. The hard drive was standard, so they use it for almost all multiple set copies, especially if sort or rotate sort is used.
