Are you using OEM toner/drum? How's the current yield-status of the PM parts? Did you clean the mag roller properly?

      1. PCDU ( p.183)
      2. Open the PCDU. ( p.183)
      3. Development roller ( p.191)
      4. Joint bracket [A] ( x 2)
      5. Development unit [B]13. Place a piece of paper [G] over the toner entrance hole. This prevents used toner falling from the drum
unit into the development unit during the TD sensor initial setting and interfering with the Vref setting
      (toner density reference voltage)

      14. Secure the drum unit [H] to the development unit, to close the PCDU ( x 2).
      15. Install the PCDU in the machine and close the front and right doors.
      16. Turn on the main power switch, and wait for the machine to warm up.
      17. Do SP2801 to initialize the TD sensor and enter the developer lot number.
      18. After performing the TD sensor initial setting, remove the sheet of paper from the PCDU.
Please start you post with brand, model, problem.

Is there a reason why you posted this in both the Ricoh Copier forum and the printer forum?

Very bad machines.... I experienced very strange problems.....if you open and close the side door.... It can happens that the machine starts with doing light copies, without any reason... The copy before was perfect.... One time i was so angry because i only checked the fuser and the machine makes light copies after that...... So.... I kicked the side door with the foot...... And the machine starts to work... No service call since 3 months.....

..... But ZAxxon is right.... Follow this procedure, i experienced also to change drum, developer before the target yield..... ( suggested by ricoh hotline)...... And make sure that the trasfer belt contacts are clean, to prevent light copies

This machines are real pain in the ass (this includes sp8200 as well). We had continuous problems with this until we modified them to earlier moddels, becouse the mag roller was dark black and developer was like burnt on the mag roller it self. It took you 10min to get it clean but still after 20-30k all over again + most of the time drum change to get a decent copy!
To get this problem fixed permanently you need to change toner motor (i think the code is AX05 0239), toner for the Ricoh 2035/3035 machines, and put in dev type 26 and they are now working now like a charm!

We use the sp8200DN printer kits for these machines.
The A kit is the complete PCDU and the B kit is the fuser and transfer assy.
The only modification for the pcdu is swapping over the front cover of the drum unit.
NO modification required for the fuser or transfer assy....straight swap.
