    Hi there!
Have you reseted the pm-counters & clean the optics? The acc was made 6 times ( 1x copier, 5x printer ) & do you have used a good, white (!) paper for the acc.
If all points answered with yes, then check the yellow pcdu, espacily the contacts.
    Greetings...

I don't know how much this will help, but if the machine prints the color red well, you might consider looking for a problem with cyan.
At least that is something I would check based on your explanation (I know you said cyan was OK, but I can't see that, so I am not sure).
Sorry if that was a waste of time.

By PC Unit, do you mean the developer as well? And you say when printing, what about when copying, also, what does an engine test print look like?

I'm having this problem as well, looks like a yellow fog background. The yellow dv unit is very overtoned. already changed the drum unit and tried to get as much toner out of the DV unit as possible. That worked for a little bit but the problem came back. Getting a yellow DV unit overnighted so it can be changed this morning, but now the customer says it's asking for yellow toner, they've tried two toner cartridges and it won't satisfy. I know for sure that the grounding plate is on the back of the unit.

Has anyone had this overtonig issue? I'm worried the DV unit won't set up with the add tone issue.

I had the same issue after replacing a set of developers, but the yellow was under tonned & thew SC code. I fitted another yellow dev & all was good. Maybe theres a few faulty TD sensors in some yellow dv units.

Check the sub hopper at the back of the machine if it's asking for toner. The coil is quite weak and can break quite easily if it's been over toning

                Update:

Machine toned up first try when I got out there this afternoon, cleaned it up and replaced the DV unit and all seems good. If it get's past the next few days without overtoning I think it will be fine. FYI the color count is at 360k, so it was just past 1/2 life of the DV. The black is at 225k, so the black DV is just shy of yield, and doing just fine. Black and Yellow drums have been replaced.

                Thanks for the input.
