    If there is dust on the optics when the white plate is scanned, it will cause a shift in the gray scale. Turn the machine off, remove the exposure glass and clean all the optics. This is should always be done before ACC.

    The cover plate on the rear pcdu was also replaced with the modified version.

    Acc was also done after that.

    I have a dev dev unit on order that I will try next

    Perform ACC. Tech forget to do this at setup. As stated in the Manual.

    The lever on the itb is pointing downwards

    Just posted this on another thread as well, but check the ITB. Many techs, when setting up the machines, are forgetting to drop the lever on the ITB for the black. No error will come on and even in the wrong position (raised) will still let you put the cover on.

    mpc 3003 faint black

    i have a mpc3003 with only 20k b/w and 10k colour. machine is quite new

    i have noticed a number of these with the black being slightly faint from one side than the other. some blacks are not as strong as they should be

    cyan magenta and yellow test patterns are perfect.

    all firmware is upto date and acc is performed.

    laser cavity is clean.

    any ideas??
