You have not given a model or product code so cannot be exact. Normally this is a HDD problem. Disconnect the HDD and see if the machine will come up.

Had same error on a mp xxxx (can't remember) it was the controller NV RAM that wasn't firmly placed in its socket.
Please start you post with brand, model, problem.

A 672 sc is a response lol, usually HDD just says please wait forever in the cases i have seen, controllers usually throw 672s. You can try booting with the HDD disconnected and see if it comes up to copy window if the controller slides out you can pull it and re-install it, if it still throws a 672 it usually is the controller but its more common on some models then others. Would be helpful if you provided the model of the machine, as firmware can also cause issues resulting in sc 672s

Depending on the model, outside shot at a op panel.

If it is a MP 2352, 2852, or 3352, the board the controller plugs into is a good bet.

ON MP2851s and 3351s I pull the RAM from the controller and clean the contacts. I have even applied a very thin layer of dielectric grease and the issue disappeared.
