So this issue is with tray 1
if it tries to feed paper from tray 1 when its is empty then its the paper empty sensor
if it jams when trying to feed paper from tray 1 when it has paper in it then its probably the feed clutch
call a qualified tech he will fix it for you

I think so too....paper sensors work right.

I will call a qualified tech to fix the feed clutch.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH TO EVERYBODY

My friends excuse me but I'm not giving up so easily.....

This afternoon, I cleaned paper rollers near bypass tray with isopropyl alcohol and one sheet (totally white) rightly ejected.
Then papers always jam like in the screenshot I've attached.

I wonder if jam at that precise point it's due to the first unit paper clutch.......

Sorry for my stubbornness but I dont like having and using a damaged machine.

May be you can check if the solenoid is closing at the time when you close the tray. ( you can check the same in the SP mode 5XXX, dont remember which code though)

Jam code 18 is the fusing entrance sensor not reading paper. My guess is the paper was late and didn't get there in time.

Cleaning rollers with alcohol is not something I recommend at all. It dries the rubber out and can actually make feeding paper worse since the roller can't get a grip on the paper as easy. Personally, I use a orange citrus cleaner to clean rollers. It helps make them a bit more tacky and get a better grip on the paper.

After following this thread, it is sort of hard to tell exactly what you have going on there.

If the tray indicates no paper when it has paper in it or shows paper even if there is no paper in it, you have a paper end sensor issue (common for these machines).

If the tray won't indicate the correct paper size even with the guides in the correct position, you have either a broken guide, defective paper size sensors (as the picture showed) or something blocking the sensors (like a piece of paper).

The right guide in the paper tray is notorious for getting put up against the paper too tightly and wedging the paper in the tray so the machine can't get it out. (Jam code 3). Guide should be slightly loose for proper operation.

Tray clutches are not that reliable on these machines (there is a bulletin/novel about this). That will require a qualified technician to come work on it.

Lastly, if tray one is the only tray giving you issues and you don't want to spend the money (especially if you have the 2 tray option), then don't use it.

It will also cause the surface of the rollers to crack and split.

Use WD-40 to clean the rollers, and sep pads.

WD-40 oil to clean rubber, Why?

Use rubber cleaner for the rubber rollers (250ml) partsnr.:VSSK9504 or better replace them.

Machine, sometimes, gives this issue too:

when I use bypass sometimes a loud noise hears when papers are in motion.

It may depend on what ???
