Hi, a customer has an Aficio Mp c2051, and when i print more than 3 or 4 sheets i have offset or ghost imagesx_icon_f_offsetting1_L.png

Re: Image repeat only printting, not on copy mode
Plain A4 80gr paper. About the spacing between line and repeat, i disassemble fusing unit and i have seen the heating roller marked with the printed image, so the space is the diameter of the heating roller but apparently the rollers are perfect. I once had a similar problem and it was the fault of thermopile, but, how can i know if thermopile works correctly? I honestly only tried copies with black....Comment

You can check the temperature in SP mode.
When you say that this problem is only when printing, did you try with several computers? Or just with one? Did you check the driver settings?
You may have a setting for thin paper...Comment

I try severals computers, severals drivers and severals driver configurations.Comment

Re: Image repeat only printting, not on copy mode
My guess would be that you need to rebuild the fusing unit. Even though you say it only has 60K, if most of those have been low page per jobs, the distance maintenance count on the fusing unit might be close or over 100%. The Teflon coating on the fusing belt unit can break down with age and cause offsetting.Comment

Re: Image repeat only printting, not on copy mode
It just doesn't make sense that 80gsm paper fuses properly in copy mode, but that same 80gsm paper does not fuse properly in print mode.
I suppose that it's possible that a technician has changed the fusing temperature for a specific media type, and that your driver selects a different media type than copy mode. All this is just very unlikely supposition. Also keep in mind that excessively low fusing temperature can produce the exact same general effect as excessively high fuser temperature. When the temperature is too low, the poorly fused toner cannot stick to the paper, so it remains on the heat roller. When the temperature is too high, the toner would rather stick to the heat roller than the paper.
I think I would get out my infrared temperature probe and read the temperature of the heat roller in the various conditions, then check the associated fuser heat settings. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Re: Image repeat only printting, not on copy mode
Turn on fuser idle in service mode.
Copying warms up before copy start.
Printing, just prints. Notorious with Ricoh product.
Turning fuser idleing, makes the fuser rotate for, default 30 seconds before printing.
1027 and 2027 had it off and print immediately set as a default from factory.
No firmware was ever issued to change defaults.
1103 Fusing Idling
Switches fusing idling on/off.
Switch on if fusing on the 1st and 2nd copies is
incomplete (this may occur if the room is cold.)
[1 = On / 0 = Off / 2= Off + Temp]
Use 2 to prevent SC542 from occurring at power-on.Why do they call it common sense?
If it were common, wouldn't everyone have it?Comment

Re: Image repeat only printting, not on copy mode
You must set SP 1-112-002 to 0 (bevor = -12)
This must be solved with Firmware-Update.Comment
