    [Jamming] Paper tray showing empty when fully loaded

    Getting this problem when the paper tray is fully loaded (or 3/4), the tray showing empty on the panel. If I reduce the quantity of paper (says about 250 sheets) then it will display on the panel as half-loaded.

    Model is Ricoh MP3350. Thanks.

      Check the paper out switch. Also check the paper size switch. I have seen the size switch in dusty environments think that the tray is not fully inserted and thus show the tray as being empty. A little vibration or change in the weight in the tray and it will change. I had one where it would show it had paper. As a sheet was feeding it would show paper out and then come back to having paper.

          also check this part if not cracked or broken... i already have this problem before and after change this part i fix my problem!

              I think this is part of what slimslob is talking about. This little switch causes all kinds of problems and may be the source of your problem.

                      That switch will cause auto size detect to detect the wrong width. I.e. letter LEF will be detected as Half Letter SEF. As a result, the wrong timing will be set for the paper lift and feed jams will occur. I have encountered the problem even with machine with the mylar installed when the bracket was bent.

                      This is the switch I was mentioning. Dirty contacts will cause it to think that the paper tray is not fully inserted.
