I have a 161 that jams when duplexing I have cleaned the one way bearing and that seems to take care of it for 3-4 weeks then they call back about duplex jamming. They havent complained about single sided jams. I get mainly Jam code 60, 210,211. of course it doesnt jam while Im there, any thoughts would be greatly apreciated.

I think you pretty much hit the nail on the head. I tend to replace the one way and shaft as a pair.It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

Rough up the shaft where the bearing rides.
The bearing tends to polish the shaft to the point that it slips.
I use a scotch pad back and forth, so it looks dull.Why do they call it common sense?

Agree a hundred percent with nmfaxman. It does NO GOOD to clean the one way and NOT rough up the shaft it rides on.Comment

I only clean the one way if I don't have a replacement on me. They are real cheap to replace and will usually prevent a recall. Like the previous comments roughing the shaft is a good idea.Live for something or die for nothing.Comment

Hi there!
Had the same issue, changed roller & gear - NG. After cleaning & lubricating the duplex-drive (espacily the part at the arrow) the duplex-jams were history.
