    if you are talking about user codes for printing there is no pop up available unless you customise the print driver. If you are using the PCL 6 driver the code needs entering in job setup

      As Moza says, the only way to get a pop up window for user codes is to use the print driver editor, you must delete all previous print drivers prior to customising and installing the edited driver

        You have a new tool that replaced the printer driver editor that is Printer Driver Packager NX.
        This is a wonderful tool when you understand it. You can use it for editing and deploying drivers.

        Remember as already said. You need to delete all previous drivers. You can not have both in the same PC.

          I've only used it once, it took me 4 hours to work it out!! Problem is, that was months ago, I can't remember how to do it now, the print driver editor was so simple, even I could work it out

            Driver download from Ricoh website, after unzipped. I don't see any printer .inf file available for editing. do you know where they are hidden from. Thanks.

              You have to use either Print Driver Editor or Printer Driver Packager NX. PDE is no longer available from Ricoh but you can search the internet. In fact it might be an attachment to another thread. After you have edited the unzipped driver, just install in as an additional printer and do not let Windows automatically select anything for you. When prompted if you want to use existing driver or install new do not use existing. The edited features will not be there.

                you can use PDR or printer driver editor if you use the ricoh universal printer driver, some PCL driver dont work on this editor.

                  PDE is intended for use with PCL6 drivers to include the Universal Printer Driver for PCL, which in my opinion is a major road block on a busy network. PDE will not work with PCL5 or PS3.

                    Find the ".RCF" file & open it with either Wordpad or Notepad.

                    Add the line in RED below and save it.

                    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
                    <rcf version="1.0">
                    <popupbeforeprint type="usercode"/>
                    </rcf>

                      The .RCF file will only exist if you have customized a print driver.
