Hello,
Yesterday, I experienced a paper jam in the fusing unit.
I removed the jammed paper and an error appeared to replace the fusing unit.
I opened the side door, removed the fusing unit and put it back. an error appears "Error sc548
calling service"

How can I solve that?

Unfortunatelythere is no Ricoh office in Cairo. So, I am left out with solving it myself, with online help, or it will be a piece of plastic to throw

Select 2 Engine.

You will have to use the scroll arrows to navigate to SP 5810. Once there use the OK button to execute the SP which clears the Fusing error. Then power off and back on. If the error comes back, the cause of the error still exists.

The 1st error appeared again! " set fusing unit correctly "
I removed the fusing unit and set it back the machine refreshes, and then the error appears.

Have you actually replaced the fuser? The pressure roller bearings could be stuck and causing the fuser to move out of position.

Take the inner right front cover off and you will likely see the photo interrupter is either broken or knocked off it's holder. There are two photo sensors, one mounted almost on top of the other. One (lower) is the fuser set sensor (three quarter circle black encoder) that rotates once upon start up to tell the machine "I have a fuser". The other corresponds to the tan encoder disk that send pulses to the BICU to tell the machine that the fuser is rotating. It is very common to knock the sensor(s) out when clearing a jam if the fuser is set back in the machine while putting pressure on only one side of the fuser. The fuser goes in crooked and contacts the sensor(s) and either breaks it or knocks it off its bracket. Push the fuser in IN THE MIDDLE on the unit to avoid future issues. Very common issue.
