    [Misc] Samsung CLX9251 advice

    Hi all,

I have a few of this model on my patch (im Canon, Ricoh & KM trained)
Was just wondering if anyone could give me any tips please!?
I have the service & parts manuals so far i've not had any real faults yet, just a "replace transfer unit" messsge but I found in service mode this warning can be turned off.
Do you guys rebuild the fuser for example or replace the film etc?
Let us eat, drink, and be merry, because tomorrow we may die!

I only have a couple also. I replace the parts it says to replace and they seem to run better. I think on the ones I have we just replace the fuser unit.

Best advice that I can give is to update the system software as often as it comes out. Keep a spare Hard Drive in stock, these will fall over, it is only a matter of time. Incidentally it doesn't need to be a Samsung supplied one, just as long as it is a SATA and meets or exceeds the specs of the one that comes with the machine. I think that they are about 320GB as standard. Keep a spare fuser on hand too, as if your customers use glossy paper, then you will be replacing these often, though they are generally pretty good with normal 80gsm copy paper. Drums on this model tend to last a long time and will mark the page in a similar way to a worn out Canon drum, with the marks at the front and/or rear of page (across the feed direction). They don't tend to jam much and the feed rollers are very durable. You can get hold of damp heaters for a relatively low price $40.00 AUD which will save you at least one call out and pay for itself straight away. You did the right thing by turning off the consumable warnings as these are more of a nuisance than anything. Good luck.

The Official standing with these models is, Replace, and do not rebuild. So technically, if the machine is under 3 years old, you can actually claim parts through warranty.
So things like the Fuser, rollers, pads ETC. All of these parts are to be replaced once they hit Yield.
You can turn off the Notifications, but once parts go over Yield, should you need support from Samsung; they will make you replace all parts that are over yield before escalation.

Always keep the Firmware on all Models up to date. Especially on the Tablet based Models.
