[Electrical] Samsung CLX3160N Deve Home sensor error

Hi,

A customer came in with a CLX3160N which almost always displays Deve home sensor error. I have cleaned the sensor, and the sensor flag. The were not dirty as far at I could see. But still, at first it was working perfectly for 5 minutes or so.
I tested with about 50 pages. All seemed to work well. I restarted the machine, and it started to display Deve Home Sensor error again :-/

I guess I have to order a new part. The photo interruptor is on a tiny PCB with JC41-00133A written on it. And the silk screen says Mck_sensor rev 1.2
I'm waiting for a feedback from our parts supplier, to see if they can deliver that part. There are no logo (like Omron) on the photo interruptor, but one on the PCU that I've never seen before.


Any bright ideas? Change the part, or is it another reason for the error.

Twice I've seen this error. On both occasions the sensors did not help. I replaced the drive assembly. The manual does say that the deve drive assembly may not be disassembled. Of course that never stopped me, then I ordered the assembly.
