SCX8040 double imaging randomly of copies and prints

Unit has 80K total count. This problem has been happening on long copy/print jobs (see scan 1). I removed and checked fusing and drum units. Both look in good condition. Cleaned and reseated both and tested operation after 150 pages 2 sided you get some double imaging (see scan 2) but nothing like what the client showed me. Since this is a random problem I was wondering if this is a known issue with these machines? Doesn't seem to be anything online and the manual does not cover this type of image problem. Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I am leaning towards replacing the fusing unit but was wondering if something else could be the root cause.

Thank you for your time and effort in this matter.

I'd start with the fuser. It looks like the fuser heating element may not be keeping temp on long runs.

my guess is fuser also..these fusers seem to have a high turnover..good luck,
      also check for damp paper...

Almost sure it's the fuser. Possibly tray paper type not set correctly.

IMHO Samsuck are junk printers... drums/toners/belts never go the " recommended " life... but looking at the images .. I too say fuser.
