    [Misc] samsung scx 6555

one more weird problem on a scx 6555

After pressing the start button the copier will scan image , do nothing and then go back to ready to copy. Image is held in log but no paper is output. The next copy jobs are then scanned but not printed until the machine is shut off then on and then will seem to work properly. My first idea is to replace hard drive. Looking for suggestions...

HDD is a good possibility. DIMM memory also a possibility. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Funny, I've had the same issue with a fax doing almost the same thing. Customer gets faxes, says printing, goes to pending. and nothing comes out.

Soooooo, with that said, here's what I heard straight from our regional service manager:

        Reboot
        NVRAM initialize
        Fax NVRAM initialize
        Memory Clear
        HDD Format

If that doesn't work, HDD replacement.
