    samsung scx 6345 no power

    I have a samsung scx 6345 that will not power up, it as power coming in, red light on main board comes on but nothing else.

      disconnect HDD and other options and see what happens.

          You weren't by chance updating firmware just before this happened were you ? If the Main firmware version is at V1.03.00.62 or under, you have to download a "boot patch" firmware BEFORE upgrading the firmware to the current level.. If the Main firmware is at a level over 00.62, then you do not have to download the boot patch first.

          If firmware was the version 00.62 or under and you upgraded firmware without the "boot patch" first, you fried the main pwb..

          Just a side note -- the Xerox version of that machine (Workcentre 4150) has a patch of sorts you have to download too if it's firmware is below a certain level.. They call it something different of coarse but it basically the same thing.. I can't remember the versions and such but I just wanted to add this side note for people who had Xerox machines that crossed over to this Samsung model..
