    Samsung CLX-3175FN Fuser

    Hi,

    I have a client with a Samsung CLX-3175FN and the roller sleeve is damaged. They attempted to send some of the iron-on paper through the printer and it wound up adhering itself to the fuser roller.
    The printer is fairly new and really doesn't require a full fuser assembly replacement.
    Does anyone know of a way to replace just the roller sleeve/roller rather than then entire fuser assembly?
    I have been looking on Google for about 2 hours and have not found anything.

      It doesn't usually work out well. Yes, seperate heat rollers can be purchased, but usually in the attempt to install it the plastic fuser frames either break or are too warped to use. I've repaired a few, but my success rate is below 50%. The longer the fuser has been in the machine, the more warped it will be. =^..^=
      If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

          Can you only buy used heat rollers?

          Do you know the product number off hand?

                  ***snicker*** you may be able to buy used fuser rollers, but I don't recommend it.

                  The original Samsung rollers are available separately:
                  JC66-01078A Heat Roller
                  JC66-01780A Pressure Roller

                  ... but I don't think you were listening. The plastic frame will break when you attempt to replace the parts, and you'll have bought the parts for nothing.

                      They should be a pretty cheap item anyway - Samsung spares are normally very reasonably priced.
