    SCX-6345 Dead

    Hi Guys

Have a 6345 that we unplugged to wheel accross the room. When we plugged it in it was dead.
Have replaced low voltage smp board (twice) Tried running with no fuser unit and tried unplugging plugs to main board 1 at a time No Go
We have now ordered a new main control board but was wondering if anyone has any experiance of this problem?
Hoping that it is not one of those situations where you need to change both boards at the same time as one cooks the other as I had a problem like that with the paper feed unit in one of these.
    Hoping you can help

I am assuming you have tried wheeling it back and plugging in original outlet again? You sure the "new" outlet works?

Disconnect hard drive. Does it boot? If so,format hard drive NTFS and install it. If not, only main board and lvps. Pull out fuser, drum, disconnect reader, finisher. Careful when upgrading firmware. Too big of jump in versions kills main board

Unfortunately for me I saw this post too late and updated the firmware and now the machine is dead. So all I have to do is replace the main pwb or is there more to it. Thanks

If all you did was too big a firmware jump, then yes all you need is the main PWB
