Re: Samsung SCX-4826fn jams under drum
Don't know about the jamming problem, might be the tray paper size isn't set up correctly or the transfer roller is worn out, but I haven't seen enough Samsungs to be sure, so take that with a grain of salt. Hopefully smarter people than me will be along to tell you what actually needs to be done.
On the other hand, if most faxes are received properly and only a few have problems, it is more likely the problem is with the sending units and not your machine. Might not hurt to make sure the phone line your machine is connected to is up to standard (especially if it is VOIP), still, it sounds like that is most likely a problem with the machines sending the faxes, not yours. -

Re: Samsung SCX-4826fn jams under drum
OEM toner cartridges? I had one gentleman walk into the office with 6 defective Chinese refills (G & G brand). The main motor would not turn any of them. I opened an OEM, and it worked immediately. The customer whined a lot about warranty not covering his use of generic supplies .... then he paid.
There is a greaseable drive clutch on the left side to drive the toner cartridge. When it starts to slip, you can get compressions. I've successfully re-greased this clutch. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Weird, that black band shouldn't be from the jam, the text underneath the band wouldn't be legible if that was the case.Comment

Re: Samsung SCX-4826fn jams under drum
Those pictures make it kind of looks more like a high voltage problem, like a temporary loss of drum charge, or maybe some problem with the drum ground or a developer bias leak. But that usually happens more often than one time per print with the size of the drum. So probably not.
Still, if the situation permits, check the drum ground with a meter if you can. And maybe see if the developer connections for the PCU are clean and connect correctly, too.Comment
