[Misc] Samsung CLX-9251 Confidential print mode issue.

I recently installed a CLX-9251 and everything appeared to be working fine until the day after the install.

They use the confidential print mode in the driver so they have to enter a user id and pin at the machine to release their jobs. They are able to log in and release their jobs fine and when printed the jobs disappear from the queue.

The problem is that when the machine is left over night and they power it back up in the morning ALL jobs they have ever sent to the machine using the confidential mode are back in the queue for all users.

I spoke to Samsung support who advised me to do a memory clear which looked like it had fixed the issue but the call just came back in to say its happening again.

I'm about to try Samsung support again but I was wondering if you folks had come this issue before.

I've also got the latest firmware ready to go when I go back in case that solves it.

    Thanks.

Just an idea ... do you have the option of setting a purge time period, in which the documents are erased if not otherwise printed/cleared? If yes, you could set that time period to, say 10 hours. That would mean that documents sent in the morning would still be available at the close of day. Documents sent at the end of day would be erased by the next morning. It isn't a fix, but might be a transparent workaround. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

There is a firmware upgrade for this, We installed it some months back. I know it is an old post, I hope this is still helpful info to someone. Download it from GSPN.

Just a wild guess, but could the jobs that were deleted from the machine be held in the network print queue?
Sounds to me kind of like the machine is performing its part here.
