    F2-64

    Hello

I went to a Sharp MX3114 that gave the message VK. So i changed the black developer, run sim 25-02 and tested the prints. All worked fine so i left.

A half hour later the customer called and told that the machine gave the message F2-64. They told me that they just changed the toner. I have had this message before with other Sharp models and it is normally a faulty toner. So i went to the customer, pulled out the black toner and it was the gear on the back of the toner cardridge that was faulty. I changed the toner again with a new one and waited till the message "toner is being filled" was gone. I waited some time and it gave the F2-64 again. I pulled out the toner to double check the gear on this one and it was OK, nothing wrong. So i turned off the machine, turned it back on and waited till is was fully started and inserted the toner again. But again the message F2-64 appeared.

Does anyone have any ideas what i could do the get rid of the F2-64.

did you run sim 25-02 with the toner in the mc ? remove the k dev tank and see if you can move the mag rollers freely. do a mis 25-1 and see if theirs abnormal value for k.

I did run 25-02 without the toner. Do you think i could swap the dev unit with a mx2640? We have one in our showroom.

yes you can use aries/gemini+/ariesII & gemini +II k dev tank on this one. check the part no underneath DUNT-8493DS12 to 15 anyway.
also remove the base cover ( delivery tray cabinet ) and see if theirs something blocking k toner pipe. that happen to me one time. good luck !

if it have dev inside; the sensor already have density values. so you do not have to run sim 25-02.
just run a sim 44-27 to clear the procon values and 46-74 to be in safe side.
still do 20-30 skyshots and check if the mc can replenish toner few times without giving errors.
