    Sharp mx m550

Scans and copies are sometimes cut off an inch to inch and a half at top of portrait scan or copy? Anyone seen this before? Thanks Dave

Why would these values need changing from factory ones? Thanks dave

Worn parts (clutches, rollers, sensors), new supplies (DV, drum, fuser); even from the factory, adjustments need to be made at setup.

Well, you pretty much narrowed it down - does the problem show up copying off the glass?

I have seen this happen on a 620 that we rent out for a month every year, for a music fest , they call at least once for copies being cutoff at the top(this is when all centering adjustments are done before it goes out. ) its always the doc feeder and it is 2 different 620s that do it . I think it is a scanner bd issue(power problem or static ) but it throws no codes and doing the centering adjustment for the adf fixes it. and it runs fine for the duration, they do about 65000 copies in a month and most through the adf. and when it comes back to the office it runs fine as we use it as our main walk up copier for customers.

If you know the 'backdoor' entry for test commands, you can try 88-7 (SCU Memory clear). When it finishes and reboots, the 'Please Wait' can take several minutes, but you can make copies off the glass.
NO, I will not give out the backdoor entry.

Yes. It's worth a shot before replacing any pwbs.
And, you may have recalibrate for centering as faxman28 said.

Do you know what is exactly lost with this reset?
