    Sharp MX-C311 L4-16

Good morning I was hoping that someone might help me with a code L4-16 on my Sharp MX C311, is there any way to reset this code or what it means and what I can do?

    Thank you so much,
    Glen Bennett

The pressure release flag has probably broken due to improper shut down.

If the trouble code doesn't clear with SIM 14, then the pressure flag is most likely broken. Sharp has updated this part multiple times. The current part # should be MLEVP1112FCA4

Or replace the whole fusing unit.

The fuser drive gear could be missing some teeth also.

Broken flag PN MLEVP1112FCA4, the newest part number that I'm aware of (not that it resolved the heat damage issue either...).

Ive been fighting this issue too. Without ordering a new fuser. Check the solenoid, lock lever, and one way bearing on the pressure release lever and shaft. Good luck.

This has happened to me once. Would check for a unicorn in the ADF.
It didn't say that I couldn't do it in the manual.
