    [Error Code] Sharp AR M550 Error Code F2-37

    Howdy, I have a sharp with a F2-37 error that keeps popping up every couple of days. I removed the PCU and checked the harness connection for the drum marking sensor everything looged good and I reseated the connection to be on the safe side. Did the SIM 44-02 and everything seemed to work okay for a few days, but the code came back.

    Can this code be caused by a worn out drum? See picture attached.

      Yes. It is time to install a new drum.

          Thanks! I figured it was the obvious answer, but wanted to check if there could have been another source of the error!

              Absolutely, yes.
              If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
              1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
              2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
              3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
              4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
              5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

                  This is a patch reading error. As everyone before has said it does need a drum replacement.

                  As you can see in the picture your OPC is worn down to the metal on the side and greatly worn through that small patch you see on the drum. This patch is what is read by the sensor above it. If its worn down it can not properly calibrate itself. Be sure to remember to run Sim 44-2 and 24-11 drum rotation clear to make sure your calibration stays in good shape.
