    AR-M455 L4-30 Code....Fan did not fix it.

    Hi All,
I replaced the controller fan, as well as the other fan across from it, and this code still comes back. The machine can run for a day or two and then it pops up again. I reset the connectors. Ran sp6-2 and the fans ran fine.

    Any ideas for problem? THANKS

Just to make sure I got the right fans, the two I replaced were on the top of the box, towards the rear.

Thanks Zootech. Yeah, that's the one I replaced.

The only time I've ever seen this code, it was on a brand new Jupiter that had been damaged in shipping. The controller fan and top cover were shattered. The fan and cover solved this issue. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
        1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
        2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
        3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
        4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
        5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

check hdd fan, L4-30 also includes hdd fan. controller fan and hdd fan go to mother bd then to mfp controller. check fan above fuser/exit area, but usually delivery unit is replaced before fan fails. service manual doesn't have codes for any of the other fans in arm455

Thanks guys. Turned out to be the fan on the front right of the copier. (HDD?) I wanted to give it a few days before I posted the fix. Haven't heard back.

NOW...I have an ar-m550 with an L4-30 code. Also says it's the controllers fan, but of course, it's not spelled out in the parts manual. Can anyone point me in the right area for the controller fan?

            Thanks again!

Thanks Zootech. After talking with my customer again, they tell me the code is actually L4-03, not 30. I'll be going out to look at their fuser. Thanks again!
