    Disabling of Color Mode

Have an MX-4101n which had the 'Disabling of Color Mode' turned on. Says needs to be changed by service tech but cannot find corresponding SIM code. Haven't checked the Service webpage so will do that. Is it there?

The setting was initiated from within the enable/disable settings. There is a note within the settings guide stating a service technician would have to reset. We found the page listed in the SM which stated Sim 14 for Color Inhibition reset.

that makes little sense, but I hope you got it resolved.
Usually this is setup through User Control and would think changing User Authentication in Default Settings to 'disable' would bring the machine back to normal default setup.

You need to log in on the webpage of the copier which is the IP address of the copier. Log in on admin mode. The password is admin. Go to system setting and under system setting look for Printer condition setting. On the color mode, switch it to B/W. Good luck.
