Sharp MX paper size in trays not detected

Hello

Sharp MX-3100n do not detect paper size in trays. It works fine when I manually change paper size under tray setting option Is it any sim which should be performed to adjust it or it can be different kind of problem?

What tray or trays are you referring to? (Tray 1, 2, 3, 4, or bypass tray)

Are you doing this in system settings?

Trays 1 and 2 of the MX3100 do NOT have auto size sensing. You have to manually set the paper size for them in the system settings. If there is a desk unit with a 500 sheet tray attached, Trays 3 & 4, They wiill have auto size sensing.

That' s strange. I am sure I have seen Sharps MX-2301 MX-2600 MX-3100 without Trays 3 & 4 and they detect size automatically. Anyway thank for that info.
