I'd actually like to move completely away from SD. Most customers are fine with scanning to email, and those that want it in a folder, FTP works perfectly well. And there are plenty of free open-source FTP options out there. Especially if I can install it on a server with multiple users. Customers are really happy about saving hundreds of dollars on Licensing when they hear about that!

Most, if not all newer, machines have SD as a standard option. I do agree that scanning to email or folder is the better alternative, but some customers like some of the features that SD offers.

If you are not showing the customer the potential of the Sharpdesk OCR tool you are selling yourself short. Very powerful tool. Paralegals start drooling after I show them the feature.

Do They drool enough to pay for additional licenses and training time? Usually If I show it I install it and they want more free installs. Then they call 4 months later and want free additional training. Maybe you have more reasonable customers.
