Sharp ARC 260:impossible to make more than one copy in colour mode

    Hi

I have not great experience with that copy machine, the problem is as follow: If you put a document in the SADF ( document feeder), it's impossible to make more than one copy even if you ask for two or more ( B and W is OK)
The problem does not occur if you do'nt use the ADF.no limit progammed
in the machine for copy or user account.

Any help would be realy appreciated !

This is Sharp's way of encouraging you to change the empty color toner cartridge. Which one is out of toner? =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Its not a toner cartridge problem mate...... Trust me.
The ARC170 to ARC262 all have limitations on color copies through the ADF. They are a SOPM (scan once, print many) machine. Even when memory & HDD are maximum configured (usually this way out of the box), they are limited in color copy ability. What you are experiencing is normal. There is nothing you can do to fix this. It is NOT a toner problem. This issue has been an on-going problem for many clients here. You would think a color copier can do more than 1 color copy wouldn't you..... but no. Try explaining that to an upset client. This series of machine simply cannot do it. Check your service manual.... you will see that it lists all color copy modes as SOPM through ADF. On the glass it is ok.
Upgrade them to a Sharp MX machine. No limitations on color copies there..... and less problems with the machine. LOL.

OH yeah! I read that to be a Bear AR-C260 not a Whale AR-C260M! This machine just does not have enough memory to handle more than one color image. It's just stupid for Sharp to have built a color copier that doesn't have enough memory. Thanks for pointing that out. =^..^=
