[CQ] Sharp MX-M364 Light Print Jobs, copies and internal prints are OK

Hey All!

I have a sharp MX-M364 that recently went through a storm. Afterward every print that was sent to the machine is very light and washed out, while all the copies and internal prints are ok. I've been in contact with sharp about this, but it seems everyone I talk to here has a different idea of what could be going on.

To date I have done the following:
Replaced SD card
Replaced MFP controller board
Used the clone backup off another machine (same model) to try and copy over some of the settings
Checked to make sure toner save is off
Adjusted the print density
Ran 46-74 (this is a strange one, all the prints come out nice and dark, except the last page, which is light)
Cleared 1/2 tone data
and reset various other sim values and returned the machine to factory settings.

Anyone else run into anything like this? I guess the next step would be the EEPROM, but I'd rather not go through that mess again. Maybe someone can scan me a copy of their 22-6 i can compare with mine?

so the only time it prints out light is when you send it from you computer?

the copies come out fine?

Had a similar issue about 3 months ago turns out it was the low voltage board, *the small power board next to the big one* about the only difference we had that u dont is the screen was very light and would not darken up either. Not sure if your problem is the same but it might be. I would double check no one has played with print settings in the system settings.

How do flash drive prints look like? As this uses the same printing method as a PC sent print.

This is correct. Only print jobs. If you submit a print job from the website or flash drive, prints are all light.

Everything else this machine does, copy print and fax all print out normal.

if its just from your computer you can try to download a new driver and delete the old one im not sure what your running but if you go to Sharpusa.com you can download a new one i would recommend PS (post Script)

Does anyone have a fix for this? We have the same problem. When doing a 46-74 the test pattern print out fine. The adjusted pattern is very light and the copier doesn't even read the printer test pattern.

Had it twice on 264s. Replaced sd and hdd together. Probably more to do with the hdd

Finally found a fix. Export EEPROM&SD data from a good machine with SIM 56-2 to the bad copier. Works great!
