    5141 U2-91

This machine is a bastard. It has had a number of issues, All PWB's have been replaced, All EEPROM have been reprogrammed and replaced. New SD card and Flash ROM. Machine persists with U2-91, cannot enter SIM to cancel code. Tried leaving door open to no avail. Sharp support is scratching their heads, Any ideas?

    Thanks!

So... all PWB's are replaced. Including EEPROMS too? Jesus...

So, after doing a bit of research. There is an urgent service bulletin for replacing these EEPROMS, please see attached file.

Remember, it is impossible to clear the “U2 Trouble Code” by executing Sim. 16, unless the EEPROM is initialized, and you need to be... hyper careful in the handling of those EEPROMS.
You can not even put the EEPROMS in styrofoam because it can generate static.

Yes, I am familiar with the EEPROM replacement procedure, thank you.

The only thing I've come up with is a possible DOA PCU PWB. I have a replacement on order.

ok i had a similar issue.
        try the following.
1-go to same model machine with the usb stick back up all the eeprom data .
2-deploy data from the stick on the troublesome machine.
        Good luck

          I can't enter SIM mode

That's an interesting idea. I hadn't thought of that.
