Recently installed a MX-5070 and the customer would like to use AirPrint. I have updated the firmware for AirPrint and made sure that it is enabled. However the machine is not showing up on their Apple devices. They have two HP machines that they can see on the devices however. I have not checked the settings on the HP's to see why they are showing and our new machine is not. I did also turn on the AccessPoint feature on the machine and was able to connect and print to it. Any insight or help in regards to this would be greatly appreciated.

Re: MX5070 AirPrint
Went onsite to open a ticket with Sharp. Confirmed that once firmware is updated, air print is enabled and the machine is on the network it is than accessible. Will be setting up a time with customers IT to be on site at the same time to see why it doesnt work.Comment

Re: MX5070 AirPrint
If all else fails, you can set up AirPrint on any Windows server, this will enable any shared printer to be used for AirPrint.

I will keep this in mind. Their IT company had actually setup something like this for the previous machine on site.Comment

Try to hit the webpage from the device you're trying to print from. That way you'll know if you can in fact get to it.Comment

Re: MX5070 AirPrint
Had the exact thing today on a MX4070.......
Initially machine was wired 192.168.0.50, all workstations could print and scan, both wired and wireless workstations. However no AirPrint. Once I disabled "Wired" and set machine up wireless, then the machine became visible via AirPrint.Comment

Re: MX5070 AirPrint
I feel like a fool for forgetting to do this. Last time i was out there that didn't see any of the AirPrint devices from the phone they had me looking at. They verified that they could print to the hp via one of the phones. I will be working out there again in the morning to hopefully get this thing resolved.Comment

Re: MX5070 AirPrint
Was able to get the machine to showup on for AirPrint after making a few changes. We ended up moving the machine to the Wireless setup without any luck. After this we enabled IPP, and IPP-SSL under the AirPrint settings. This made the machine show up on the devices. AirPrint now works.Comment
