[Error Code] Sharp MX2614 - C4-00 Error

Ok, called out to a MX2614 today with a C4-00 code, replaced the PTC Unit and then it got interesting!!

Machine works ok when using mono but when you try to copy or print in colour the C4-00 code comes back.

Cleaned ID sensors, Drums etc but the fault remains.

Anyone come across this?

I had this problem before. You need to replace the transfer switching clutches in the back of the machine. If you take off the toner waste bottle and run a black copy and watch the black cam on front of the transfer unit and then run a color you will see that cam move as the clutch slipps and then you get the code. you have to remove the whole drive assy that goes across the back of the machine to replace the clutches. Its not very hard to get off.

Ok,I see what I posted about the clutches is the same as the bulliten from the post before from olik1969. I have found this to be almost as common as the board causing the problem.

Replace the transfer control PWB . We had a 2610 do the same thing. Replaced the primary and secondary belt units and both main power boards, the ptc and did a full pm and still were dead. Replaced the transfer control pwb and now works like a champ. RDENU0133FCPZ TC PWB

Check that Transfer PWB has not been fitted correctly.

Changed black & colour transfer belt clutches and it's sorted.

Out of order: transistor, diode and fuse.

This part has since been modified to prevent this, new P/N is RDENU0154FCP2.

Sharp asks for a new RDENU0154FCP2 money (Price
Rank BW !!!). Why should users pay for factory errors?
I will cut the path and solder three zener diodes of 150 volts.

Today checked: After the replacement, ordered from ctha transistor, diode and fuse, the board earned as it should!!!

I checked this out , i have ordered the fuse and Transistor (as a referencetype) .
the diode dont have a Type printed on her Surface . Also i solder it out and Test it by normal way . They dont have a defect .
I replaced Transistor and fuse. Modified with the three Zehner diodes and Test the Board.
Heureka it works.

Made this with 5 other "c4-00" boards and all of the will working well.
