    AR M317 drum & developer

Been awhile since I worked on a Sharp. Going out to a call today to install drum & developer in a M317. What settings need to be done? I remember doing sim 25 for developer when I use to work on a lot of sharps, is this still the same?

I have the manual but you know how they are, not too detailed.

    Thanks in advance

    From service manual:
SIM 24-7 to clear the OPC drum counter when replacing drum.
SIM 25-2 to make the initial setting of toner concentration when replacing developer

Thanks laitang. Looks like sharp still uses the same settings I remember.

Don't forget 24-5 to clear DV counter.

          Update, EL error

Thanks Akitu, I didn't see your message until after I had left.

After running 25-2 it came up "EL error". Could this be because I didn't clear developer counter?

EE-EL means it's overtoned. Run a couple of skyshots to even out the toner mix. It's a strong possibility that not clearing the counter is related, but check your density sensor just to be sure if you don't think it was the counter.

I have had a lot of success by cleaning the film off the density before adding new developer. I try to do it on all these ARM machines before adding developer.

set-up of dev should be done without the toner cartridge installed...
