The source (image) is 8010MB and my card has 7948.2 space to write, so it's failing after 99% complete.

You need a 16gb card. Some 8gb cards are 8008 and some are like yours.

Everything I read so far was 4gb may not be enough, so get 8gb.
This is strange, because the file itself shows it's size is about 128MB

The reason it's odd is because the machine has no hard disk so the stuff that would normally be on the HDD are then stored on the larger SD card. That file was created off a factory 8gb card. The reason you use a 8 GB card for the machines that take a 4gb card is because not all 4gb cards are 4008mb. Some are only 3998 or 4001 and they will fail like yours did. The same goes for 8gb cards. Not all are 8008 MB. So the easiest thing to do is buy a 16gb card.

Nearby walmart has 16gb in stock. Shall I do a firmware update AFTER or before replacing the sd card. and is it done by USB thumbdrive. If yes, is there a service usb port different than the customer's usb port? Such as in the back for svc oonly (Konica Minolta does that)

OK so that's why its so big, its an image of an 8gb card...My luck walmart only had sandisk brand.

I don't see the emanual or watermark fw on your FTP site. Will the machine work without it?

When you change the SD card the machine will come up in boot mode automatically. Just copy the firmware to a USB stick and point it to it from there. Front USB works just fine on these

I'll put in the folder if you need it when I get back to the shop. It will throw a u2-50 or u2-60 if it's missing and is required

There doesnt appear to be a E manual or watermark for this model as far as I can find on Sharp IDNC. If you get an error please let me know.

Customer says after unplugging a/c power (again) and network cable for first time, it's working now. I advised if the SD card is going bad as suspected, it will likely fail again, so we agreed I still need to replace it. I have the 8gb file & 16gb card, and main FW. (THANK YOU!).
If I understand and read the matrix correctly, IF they have a HDD, I will need the 4gb file and put it on an 8GB card. I'm still looking for that 4GB file. Possibly VHi0MFP10005C ???

I dont have a copy of the SD card you need if you have a HDD in the machine. I wish I did but we have never sold one in that config.

Thanks repn1999. Is there an easy way to id if it has a HDD? Either an external sticker applied by dealer on the back or an indication on a printed config sheet the customer could send me? Konicas say HDD installed on their config sheets.

the HD-12 hard drive expansion kit installs on the back of the mfp board unit, and there is a sata hard drive cable that routes from the back and plugs into the mfp board. Also it appears that the 4GB sd card is blue in color and the 8gb card is black. That should help identify which you have.
