    Sharp ar 201/ E7-03 Code

Code happens almost every copy. Some copies have hundreds of thin lines when they come out.I mistakingly replaced Laser unit thinking it was this code that required unit(forgot it was L10-7 code)
After I replaced ,as expected E7-03 came back. I tried cleaning glass white strip and optics.Did not help. Any other suggestions? Is there an adjustment I need to make?
    Thanks, ANDY

E7/03 is a lsu error. if the lsu did not fix it it may be the mcu pwb. How does a test print from the engine look? Also check the wiring to the lsu. Good luck

      Sharp Ar201?E7-03

      HI,
The new Laser unit has a new harness so wiring directly to LSU Would be new. After putting new Laser unit in the E7-03 which was happening about every so often(every other copy or so) is now happening every time print button is pressed at the beginging of every copy cycle.Any further input would be appreciated,My thinking is its not the MCU because symtom changed with different unit. I put old unit back in and now instead of every other copy,it happens at the beginging of copy cycle every time same as new laser unit.
      Any help would be appreciated
      Andy

1 DUNTK0041RS52 Laser Unit Assy old style (Panther)
1 DUNTK0185RS11 Laser Unit Assy new style (Panther)

        cucuklotz,
Is it one of the part numbers above, the laser you installed? The only difference is that the old style laser does not offer a separate mirror motor as a replacement part (three bolt). The new style does (four bolt).

1 DUNTK0343RSZZ Laser Unit Assy (Pegasus)
If you install the Pegasus laser, that might produce the code you got.

Also, the typical laser code is L6-10.

I would also check the condition of the ribbon cable. Sometimes one of the conductors can peel back.

        Good luck! =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
        1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
        2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
        3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
        4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
        5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Definately check/ replace the ribbon cable, but I still think you may have an MCU pwb problem. Image processing takes place on the MCU, if that circuit is messed up it could be the cause of the lines and the E7/04 code. L6/10 indicates a problem within the laser unit. Do the lines and code occur on a test from the engine? Just curious.
