I have had boot issues with several different models and it was the SD card every time, definitely try a new SD card first. They are machine specific so you will have to order the MX-6050 SD card from Sharp.
You need to look in your manual there are solutions to simple issues like this, don't be afraid to open it... Open your mx-6070 service manual go to self diag and trouble code 7-40, there are 2 solutions, yes everyone is right there is no sd card, it's either the SCN-MFP PWB or the mSATA SSD (hard drive)....try mSATA (hard drive) first if that doesn't work then replace SCN-MFP PWB, they make manuals for a reason peeps.
We had a 3070 do this to us. Sharp said to replace the MSATA Board ( this is the new SD) and the Flash ROM plus there is a very small ribbon cable on SCN MFP Board that they said needed to be reconnected. We did this and nothing changed. Ended up replacing SCN MFP Board & that did the trick.
Note if machine takes a while to shut down do not kill with power switch just wait it out. This apparently is one of things that might cause this.

Many times the manual offers a lot of might be solutions and actual experience may narrow down the possibilities.
If every time I replaced the first thing recommended as possible in a manual my Boss would fire me for wasting money.
When you get the chance to add up several experiences you get a better understanding of the issue. That is the benefit of forums like this.
That being said it shouldn't replace normal troubleshooting techniques including proper use of the service manual.
The only way to tell for sure is to check the LED indicators on the MFP PWB. SHARP has a good tech tip /bulletin that explains the LED indicators for a dead machine, TT-051816_1R1. It will help you narrow down exactly what the faulty part is. I have run into this problem one time and it started with an E7-90 error code and eventually wouldn't boot at all. In my case the M-Sata card was corrupt and once replaced the machine booted up normally.
SHARP now makes it clear that a power cycle is needed before updating firmware, See TT-012317_2 to get more detailed instructions. I don't like this step because it is a change from how its been before and old habits die hard. They claim that if this is not done you could get a Black LCD or E7-90 or both.....not good!
