Tech went out and replaced fan for L4-30 and now customer is saying no network access. IT dept as reset network as well as tried static ip. Lights are on and flashing but can't ping from machine. Wanted to set link negotiation to manual but am not sure if thats possible in these machines.

did your tech print out the status page? What is the ip address mentioned? did he try hooking a laptop up to it w/ a cross over cable and try connecting.. that would bypass the customers network and prove it is the network or the printer/copier -

Re: AR-M355U - No Network Connection
That was my thought. I can just imagine some IT guy deciding that he was going to connect this old POS. He sees the RJ45 so naturally he thinks it can print. When it doesn't he immediately blames the most recent tech: "You broke my machine!" Too bad the AR-M355U doesn't print. You can change the MFP board to make it an AR-M355N or use a parallel to TCP/IP print server quite cheaply. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
