[Dead] MX2310 no control panel on switch on

Hi all,

I have a MX2310 which when you switch on the scanner does its jiggle and the fans come on but the ops panel doesnt light up and the machine just sits there with the fans running doing nothing. I have cleaned the DIMM's on the print board. disconnected the HDD, but it's still the same. Could it SD Card related?? Any ideas welcome?

Try re-seating and / or replacing the MFP board.

I would initially lean towards SD card......

Using DIP switch on MFP board, put machine into EM Firmware...... if emergency firmware screen comes up, can't hurt to do firmware at that point, you may get lucky. If machine takes firmware then still refused to boot in normal mode, I would do SD card

I would also lean toward the SD card, when the screen is blank or says waiting. We have had too many of the SD card issues lately.

At this point, so many SD failures, any machine that is more that 30min drive time...... when new and being set up I'm cloning the SD card with HDD Raw Copy Tool
Make a duplicate with clone file and mounting inside machine.

I agree could well be SD card but always check the RAM sticks are seated correctly,on the printer PWB,it takes no more than 5 minutes to check.

I have had to reseat the mother PWB for this issue also. It would be a quick attempt before doing the SD card.

Guaranteed it will be the sd card. Absolutely useless these machines. Have constant problems with the sd card in the mx 2314 machines. Terrible not to have a hdd
