    Sharp AR-168D

I am working on an AR-168D that seems to have a scanner issue. The lamp will light, then search for home position then the lamp will go out for less than a second and do the whole thing all over again. The machine still seems to operate properly. There are no error codes.
I'm not sure if this is normal for these machines. It certainly doesn't seem normal.
    Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks

We had one in the shop. Turned it on and does exactly what you described so I would say this is normal for that model.

put it in one of the power save modes, I think that will work.

It's normal on that copier. The scanner is re-homes it's self.

Thanks for the responses. The customer wasn't complaining about this, it was just something I noticed.
          I will close the call.
