Hoping for some help on a Sharp mx2301n.
The fault is 100% due to the developer unit. There is a 'deletion' of about 2mm towards the front end of the mag roller producing
a feint line on copies/ prints. I have tried cleaning the doctor blade without success.
I have convinced myself that new dev will solve this so I ordered a pouch which has now arrived.
The problem is that if I empty out the old dev and pour in the new one I do not know the setup procedure
and I am worried that the machine may error code on me
Any help would be much appreciated.

Hello,

You need to be sure there is no foreign material in your dev tank to start with, had some issues in the past with particles in the dev tank.
Secondly if you are replacing the developer,

- You put the content in the dev tank you shake horizontally a few times
- Slot back in the corresponding position
- Remove toner of the developer you want to calibrate
- Run the calibration using this combination
# -------- >*----------->C------------->*
25---------> start ----------->2------>start

- Select the colour and execute this should run for like 3 minutes
- Install toner afterwards and thats the process
