    [Jamming] MX6500 (FN22) FINISHER

Intermittently Jams while doing booklets, when i say jams the booklet is printed and stapled but then everything just stops just before its about to fold and exit.

apologies I was busy firing up the crystal ball for a customer.

      FSS203_N & FSM205.

      firmware up to date.
      Boards tested,
      Motors tested,
      sensors tested.
swapped out the stacker unit inside.

it jams sometimes after 20 booklets or 200 booklets and we have mondi 100gsm paper.
there is a mod out for one of the sensors which has a wider range so it doersnt jam due to paper dust but as i said we have the best paper. (very little paper dust in the m/c)

If everything else works it might not be a bad idea to install the new sensor anyways and see how things go. Sharps makes the modes for a reason and sometimes even a little bit of paper dust can cause serious issues with sensors.

One thing about Sharp sensors...they suck. If you have not installed the updated sensor, I would highly recommend it as Sharp will adjust firmware to match updated components.
Most of my issues with this finisher are with the UPPER stapler but 2 saddle stitch issues I've had come to mind.
          1. Code you list is a push unit jam. I have seen the springs on one side lose tension. However, this created a crooked booklet.
          2. Had one where the 2 folding rollers formed a groove on the lower roller where paper was hitting. This one jammed at exit with that code you have.
          Please keep us posted.

Replace sensor as per TB MFP-TB-1149 (Modification for False Photosensor Unit Detection)
