    Mxc402sc ppd2_drum

Has anyone ever had to replace the main drive unit for frequent ppd2_drum jams?

There is no flipped blade all components can move freely. K drum, dev and t belt have been replaced for quality issues and I was hoping they'd clear the code as well but still occurring.

Machine also badly fails 50--22 auto registration.

    Thanks in advance

Sounds like you may have a bad drum drive. At first you may think it will be a little intimidating, but these are fairly easy to replace. Once you open up the rear of the machine there are literally only like 4 or 5 screws holding it in. This is one case where the service manual actually explains the removal pretty well!

One thing Sharp has always done well is main drive motors. Pretty much all of the newer stuff is a few screws and plugs. The bigger machines even have boards on hinges so they do not have to be removed; very tech friendly.
