Sharp MX3140 mirror imagine

Hi everyone,

Happy new year.

Hoping someone might have seen this before, the fault is very intermitant

Excuse the quality of the sample fault I was studying it. The mirror is lead to trail edge but doesn't have a circumference to match, fuser drum or transfer rollers. Also its shifting on the other axis top to bottom.

They really only use the mfp for mono printing so I've no indicators that way.

The drum, primary transfer and fuser have all been replaced anyway.

Could this be a laser fault?

First thought was a cleaning blade. Did you just replace the drum, or rebuild the PCU? Also noticed that it didn't line up EXACTLY to the print it is mirroring? That would lead me to believe that you may try an LSU.

i agree with the above post about the drum, 99 percent of the time i see that defect, it is in the drum.

Thanks guys.

It isn't the drum, it's had a mx36grsa and mx230mk and mx36gvba. Also the circumference doesn't match the drum.

I'm going to order a Laser unit.

I agree with the above, these dogs are notoriously bad when it comes to fuser.....
