      It's attached to the inside frame of the main drive unit.

          Was there a fix for this. Have a customer who is getting this error quite a bit. My info is that we have replaced several items/sensor (on the transfer, I believe), and even replaced the transfer.

          I do not think we have addressed the sensor mentioned above, did that fix the issue?

            Humidity sensor # RDTCH0214FCPZ
            Item # 3 Page 120 Parts book.
            Try replacing and hopefully you should be good.

              THANKS!!!

              That makes a lot of sense as this system is on a dock with the outside world always right around the corner. Luckily (sarcasm) they have 2 portable heaters to help keep them warm.

              I could see this sensor causing some major issues in this environment.

                F2-78 is a known issue with a retrofitted upper drum seal and a mylar cover for the image density sensor. Check that this sensor is not covered in sh%t, located right under the transfer roller. Fuser cleaning on this model sucks and these frequently get gunked up.

                  I believe that sensor is the one was replaced, but thanks so much for the detailed info. Great to know why it mint be happening again.

                  Would a new process unit help with the retrofitted seal? Anything else to help for the future?

                        We tried the humidity sensor with no luck.

                        Just received the countermeasure shielding and will try that asap. Question though. Should we look into replacing the imagine density sensor, or a good cleaning is ok? Also would it be advised to replace the DV as this error has been ongoing and could have effected "the mix"?

                          I have a MX-M465N that we're fighting this code on. We've replaced the supplies, Cleaning web & entire transfer unit that has the new sensor in it. Also have updated firmware that addressed the code when coming out of sleep mode. Any other things that you've fixed it with ? Is the temp/humidity related to this code ? We have not tried that. Thanks for any input !
                          Hope that helps !

                            I believe ours ended up being related to a poor connection between the right side door and the machine. The connector was not lining up properly. Too some work and reforming the Earth spring {metal spring\plate}

                              you can also check in 44-09 if the values are good.

                              If not clean the transfert roller with dry cloth , the sensor & do a 46-74 again.
