Sharp MX5070, 6070 main charge cleaner.......

I have a couple of these machines that keep throwing C1-0x codes.

    Current firmware.

Can reset by removing corona unit and manually moving the cleaner to mid position, putting back in machine and cycling power.

Seems like the cleaner is driven too far to the rear of machine and right off the helical coil drive.

Any one else seeing this? Hoping I'm not the only lucky one.

    Any suggestions / thoughts welcome.

    TIA

Process unit has a burr or a gap on the rear of the cleaner blade cover. It makes the cleaner stick. Sharp has no fix as of yet. Replacing the process unit has fixed ours but don't know for how long. You can also turn the corona cleaner off for a temporary fix until you get a new one. SIM 44-28 MC_CLEAN_TIME to a "0".

It is always a little amusing (aggravating) to me that Sharp UK, Canada, Australia etc..... all have bulletins and info well before Sharp USA.....why is that? Is is because the US is such a litigious nation, where Superman Halloween costumes have to be labeled not intended for flight, Tide Pods with warning not intended for consumption, curling irons with explicit instructions saying not intended for internal use........etc etc

        Thanks Tom
