    [Jamming] jam code "fuser"

    MX-3050N serial appear jam code "fuser" means the machine has detected a paper twined around fuser belt unit.

    "Fuser" appears when the temperature difference between non-contacting main thermistor and the contacting sub thermistor installed to non-paper feed section is over a certain degree.
    this trouble code comes out in the following conditions:
    - When the paper is winding around something;
    - When the belt is damaged;

        Had this on a few Sharps over the years, most recently a 904.
        Replace the fuser lamp. In the last scenario, the lamp is made of 3 filaments, only 2 were illuminating. The usual symptom of this is machine will attempt to warm and after 3 minutes or so, multiple jams are displayed without any paper being fed.

        Failing to plan is planning to fail!!!

          I have the same thing happening on a sharp mx8090 1st thing in the morning, it'll get what we call a "ghost jam" because it shows a jam on screen but nothing in the machine. You have to open all the covers and then it'll reset. I've replaced almost every pwb, fusing unit, and all door switches, updated firmware but still no luck. Have you found a fix for this?

            If you're sure the Fuser Unit is OK (no belt damage, no paper caught between belt & thermistors), it would be caused by either a power supply issue or problem HL Board.
            The MX8090 requires a dedicated power outlet with no other equipment on the same circuit breaker. If you have the engine + finisher and/or air-feed trays on the same CB, you will get this problem (and others) on a regular basis, even overnight or first job in the morning trouble codes being generated. The engine must be on it's own circuit.
            The HL Board has AC power coming in from power cable 2. The HL Board directly powers the Fuser Unit. A problem on the HL Board will cause a FUSER error, especially on a cold Fuser Unit first thing in the morning.
