    OSX 10.14 Mojave + Sharp MX2310

Since update to mohave, a client has the following problem:

Pictures/logos get printed as huge pixel-like things

We had the same problem with an Oki a few days ago.

Here we could solve it by using airprint.

The MX2310 however doesnt have airpint...

Anybody else having problems with this?

Found no solution yet...new driver from 4/12/18 does the same thing.

        Anyone?

The driver from 4/12/18 isn't going to help because OS X 10.14 wasn't released until 09/18!

....I've seen it take as long as 90 days to get updated drivers from the manufacturers whenever Apple releases a new version OS. Micro$oft will "Pre-Release" their operating system to equipment manufacturers 6 months before the public release. Apple doesn't feel a need to do that. All of "THEIR" peripherals work with the new OS, so "Why would you need anything else?" seems to be the prevailing attitude.

Try configuring it in CUPS (localhost:631) and use a "Generic Postscript" print driver. You're going to lose some functionality (Finishing, User/Dept ID, etc.) but it will at least get them up and printing until Sharp builds a new driver set.

Understood...but the most recent driver I can see on the USA website for the MX 2310 is for OS X 10-13. Some print drivers don't translate well to other models.

Any updates on the new Drivers and Firmware? I have been checking often but none in sight. I need it for a Gemini2 MX-2616N on a network full of Mac 10.14's

I've seen no mention on the USA tech site.....

There is a 10.14 driver available for the MX3640, wonder if that would work?

                            Hello,

Maybe a start of a beginneing of solution...

I have a mail, with a picture in it.
When printed from mail to my Sharp 2310U, it comes blurry...

When exported to pdf, openned with Preview, and printed, it comes blurry
When exported to pdf, openned with Acrobat reader, and printed, IT WORKS !
So the problem is not really from Sharp (?)

I'm going to test with various softwares

This works for PDFs but I'm still having issues with images, no matter which program I use to print them. Even the Generic PS driver is doing this. Gutenprint works but kills the quality. I'm testing on a MX4101 and even with 4070n drivers I'm still getting the same issue. It's half way through April and still nothing from Sharp.
